ANAPOLON is indicated for the treatment of anemia caused by poor red blood cell production. Acquired aplastic anemia, congenital aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis and hypoplastic anemias due to the administration of myelotoxic drugs often respond. ANAPOLON Tablets should not replace other supportive methods, such as transfusion, iron correction, folic acid, vitamin 1112 or pyridoxine deficiency, antibacterial therapy and proper use of corticosteroids. Dosage and administration
The recommended daily dose for children and adults is 1-5 mg / kg body weight per day. The usual dose is 1-2 mg / kg / day, but higher doses may be needed and the dose should be individualized. The answer is often not immediate, and a minimum of three to six months of study should be done. After remission, some patients may be cared for without medication; others may be maintained at a lower daily dose. A continuous maintenance dose is usually required in patients with congenital aplastic anemia.
